The game of football is a tremendous platform for teaching the “game of life.” The first step toward implementing character development into your program begins with establishing the culture of your program. Culture is nothing more than a program’s core beliefs, values, traditions, identity and ways of behaving.

Every year we have seniors come through. They say they will do what it takes, but rarely will they. They are not clueless; they lack perspective. They don’t realize the total of missed opportunities and often leave with regrets.

Academics is something that we stress very highly within our football program. We stress to our players daily the importance of getting their schoolwork done. We use many different strategies to help make sure our kids are accomplishing the things they need to in the classroom.
